Eiffle Tower France - www.The-World-News.comOn July 3, 2012, the Prime Minister of France Mr.Jean-Marc Ayrault stated that for next year, 2013, gay couples in France will be allowed to get married and to adopt children.

He made a speech announcing the new government's plan with these phrases "Our society is evolving, lifestyles and mentalities are changing,", "The government will respond to that."

Socialist President Francois Hollande in his campaign speeches had hoped that this would happen, and it is happening.
Marriage without discrimination starting in the beginning of 2013.

This is due to the majority win by his socialist party two weeks ago in the election.

President Hollande is the father of four children out of wedlock with his partner Segolene Royal and is considered, by some conservatives, to be a bit too free.

The French daily "Le Parisien" had been told by France's Junior Minister for Families, Dominique Bertinotti that the law on gay marriage and adoption would be passed within a year.

There is at least a 60% pro gay marriage voting mass in France now.

Some are wondering why wait so long but a half of year isn't too long for some folks who will get married and maybe adopt a child.

Every year Paris has a Gay Pride Parade, and it just occurred recently with a greater amount of energy due to the new law that will be going into effect.

This year Dominique Bertinotti who is the French Minister for Families came to watch the parade floats go into the parade.

Eleven countries in the Euro region allow gay adoption.

Some say that opposition might come from the ardent Catholics and more conservative people living in France now.

They won't do much more than aggravate the strong majority a little.
