Seven months pregnant
And she is taking on a responsibility that would stop the strongest CEO in her/his tracks. She doesn't seem to bother with the pregnancy part as much as people with some experience do.
Having a brand new child is a responsibility that takes time and sometimes the time is in the middle of the night.
Didn't mind that she was pregnant, but it could be that they are just so happy to get someone who was the 20th person hired at Google thirteen years ago to work for them. She is also a strong minded woman who is a force to deal with.
Google and Marissa are magic words that everyone believes in and trusts.
Marissa is going to have two full time jobs on her hands as soon as the baby is born. I can't imagine another serious company hiring a third semester pregnant woman to jump into the job.
Silicon ValleyIs the new exception to that with several women doing well in running companies there.
She has a tremendous salary, and she also has her old money that she got from Google which is a large amount to pay for childcare and all that is needed for her own family. She most likely will hire a few nannies to help out but always there's mother time for kids, and she also has to do that.
Thinking of her Yahoo careerCan she pull the company out of a hole that it has been in for some years? Yahoo is losing points while a lot of stocks are gaining.
She said recently in a news blurb,“I am honored and delighted to lead Yahoo, one of the internet’s premier destinations for more than 700 million users”.
“I look forward to working with the company’s dedicated employees, to bring innovative products, content, and personalized experiences to users and advertisers all around the world.”
Yahoo's Chairman Fred Amoroso recently stated
“Marissa’s unparalleled track record in technology, design, and product execution makes her the right leader for Yahoo at this time of enormous opportunity”.
